The lineart looks a lot smoother and the shading really stands out.
The mane is especially superb. The texture you placed on it really added a lot to the appeal of this piece. If you hadn't added the texture, it wouldn't look as well made.
The mouth looks really oddly placed, though. Or, perhaps not the placement but rather the angle of the smirk. Might just be my personal opinion. I've never been an expert on expressions.
A section of the ear looks irregularly angular. It seems like it should be more curved.
Also, the most viewers probably wouldn't notice (so it's a non issue), but in quite a few places the shading doesn't extend fully to the outline. This creates out of place sections of the base fur color. Again, that only matters if you really nitpick the flaws. (I know that I don't see a lot of the errors in my art until it's been uploaded.)
Thanks for taking the time to point out the flaws ^^ I really appreciate it
And yes, I agree that the smirk is weird (has to do with the shading... without the shading it looked good xD)
The ear... hmm... don't really know what you mean, I'll look into it (or you can elaborate on it ^^)
And the shading xD I use blur to mix the darker color with the base color, but sometimes that means it gets blurred on the lines as well... As deadlock onto the piece while I'm working on it those issues don't arise, but like you said, once I upload it the issues pop up ^^
Ah well, gives me enough reasons to do even better on the next one (Is probably going to be a short Animation!! Been learning that for the past two weeks)
But again, thanks! Constructive criticism is something I can work with, and really appreciate!
Thanks! Glad you like it ^^ And yeah, I like it as well, as it indeed is more loose n stuff, it's just, now that I look back at it, I don't like the thick lineart I made that much ^^. I do really like the shading n stuff, so maybe next time I'll try it without lineart
