I'm sorry that you're sad, and hope that you can cheer up soon.
This looks like a wonderful expression of an emotion that assails everyone (and everypony) at one point or another. Not over-dramatic, but not downplayed in the slightest.
The scenery, the black background and the rain add a lot more to the setting of this picture than it has a right to. For a moment, I didn't know where the light was coming from, until I noticed the small, street lamp up in the corner. The light plays well off of Skybrush, and the shading feels utterly realistic. Perhaps my only complaint would be the lack of more raindrops and "wet" look on Skybrush herself.
Her eyes, while heartbreakingly sad, are absolutely gorgeous. That gradiant, eye reflection (or whatever it's called). I feel I could just lose my soul in them -- feeling compelled to hug now. I'm not 100% sure about the jaw structure however, I feel it's a bit too angular for a mare, even though it is from the side. Other than that, fantastic.
If it's any consolation, which it probably isn't, and it is probably a waste of time to be writing this out, you have your friends, and your fans. Granted, there may be a few who only care for your art, but there is always at least one person that genuinely cares for you. This may not be the person you would have wanted, but it is someone. To be honest, there is a probability someone you've never really spoken to that cares for you more than you could imagine. I don't expect you to take my words to heart, but I do hope for your better fortune.
I do take them to heart, thanks man! I am so lucky to have people like you that take their time to write a comment like this, I really appreciate it! <3
I can get down hard... so comments like these give me good feels!
